2026/2027 Leadership Academy Application

The Leadership Academy is a statewide program designed to develop emerging and established leaders through a series of interactive, in-person sessions focused on leadership growth, community impact, and professional development. Participants will join a diverse cohort of individuals from across Nebraska to build practical skills, expand perspectives, and strengthen connections that support both personal and community leadership.

While the program is open to individuals statewide, all sessions will be held in the Lincoln–Omaha area.

This is a cohort-based experience, and selected participants are expected to attend all scheduled in-person sessions to ensure continuity of learning, strong group engagement, and relationship-building throughout the program. Attendance at all five sessions is required (unless otherwise excused by the Association):

September 23 (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ the State Association Office)
October 13 (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM @ Peter Kiewit Lodge in Mahoney State Park)
December 9 (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ the State Association Office)
January 25 (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Location TBA)
March 16 (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ the State Association Office)

The cost to participate in the program is $300. The sessions will be capped at 15 participants. Don't wait to apply!

Participants should be prepared to fully engage in discussions, activities, and collaborative learning experiences. Because the program is built around shared growth over time, consistent attendance is essential.
