Home Buyers Assistance Foundation (HBAF) Board of Directors

Our Mission: The Homebuyers Assistance Foundation is committed to supporting first-time homebuyers in Nebraska through My1stHome grants and offering crucial aid to individuals in communities affected by natural disasters.

My1stHome Grants: The Home Buyer's Assistance Foundation awards $250 grants to qualified first time home buyers who have prepared themselves for home ownership by taking an approved home buyers education class, worked with a REALTOR® and are purchasing a home of $230,000 or less.

The Home Buyers Assistance Foundation shall meet no less than four times per year.

The Board of Directors is tasked with the critical responsibility of overseeing all fundraising initiatives throughout the year, as well as managing the My1stHome Grants and disaster relief grants as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, the following key activities:

Developing a Comprehensive Fundraising Plan: Crafting a strategic fundraising plan that outlines objectives and target audiences to effectively achieve financial goals.

Fostering Relationships: Cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors and partnering organizations to ensure ongoing support, collaboration, and engagement.

Organizing Fundraising Events: Planning and executing a variety of fundraising events, including raffles, auctions, and other initiatives throughout the year to maximize involvement and financial contributions.

Promoting My1stHome Grants and disaster relief grants as available.

These efforts are essential for ensuring the sustainability and success of the organization's mission.
