2026 Nebraska RELATORS Emeritus Application
REALTOR® Emeritus qualification requirements:
- Through the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), REALTOR® Emeritus status is now awarded to members who have held membership for a cumulative of 40 years and have completed one (1) year of service at the National Association of REALTORS® level. Recognition at the NAR level includes waiver of national and state dues. Local dues may also be waived if the local association chooses to do so * "Service" is defined as serving as an officer, director, committee member, federal political coordinator, president’s liaison, or regional coordinator to a country with which NAR holds a reciprocal agreement. Note: there is no grandfather clause for members seeking NAR REALTOR® Emeritus status starting in 2020.
- Through the Nebraska REALTORS® Association (NRA) only, members holding membership for a cumulative 40 years who aren’t recognized at the National level, may be awarded State Association REALTOR® Emeritus status. The state has no service requirement as per state by-laws. Members awarded State Association REALTOR® Emeritus status qualify for waiver of state dues only. There is no exemption from the Code of Ethics requirement associated with State REALTOR® Emeritus status.
STATE DEADLINE: Application deadline is July 31st. State REALTOR® Emeritus applications not received by July 31st will be reviewed the following year during Fall Meetings by the Board of Directors.
Submit State REALTOR® Emeritus applications to the Nebraska REALTORS Association. Only online submissions will be accepted beginning in 2025.
- REALTOR® Emeritus applications are to be submitted through the member’s current local association if the member belongs to one.
